  • Do I really need therapy? Can't I do this on my own?
Everyone can benefit from therapy in one way or another. Therapy is a great tool to learn how to navigate situations differently than you may have in the past. Therapy is more than a nonjudgmental, safe space to share your inner thoughts and to re-establish connection with a loved one. It can be a place to learn boundaries, safely explore feelings, find value, and to be heard.
  • How does therapy work and what do I need to do?
Every person has a different set of challenges and goals, the therapy approach is dependent on the individual needs. All you need to do is show up and be ready to do the work with me!
  • How long will therapy take?
Because everyone's circumstances are unique, it would be impossible to place a set number of sessions required. In order to accomplish your specific goals, we can discuss expectations for reaching these attainable goals and estimate the time commitment needed in our first session.
  • I already take medication, what else can therapy do?
Medication can be extremely effective in treating the symptoms. Therapy in conjunction with medication can help unpack the problem that may be causing the symptoms.
  • What if I would like to do couple/ family therapy but the other(s) are not willing to join?
Please come to therapy anyway. We will explore how you can be better supported in your situation. It only takes one person to change the dynamic of a relationship!
